Bobby Hundreds

Just after it came out last year, a friend of mine recommended that I check out Bobby Hundreds new book, This is not a T-Shirt. He told me that it’s an incredible read and shares the compelling story of Bobby & Ben Hundreds on their quest to build the legendary streetwear brand - The Hundreds. I wore The Hundreds in my teens during a time when I was skateboarding and getting into all sorts of trouble in the neighborhood with my friends. As one does with most brands, I grew out of the Hundreds when I started pursuing more traditional sports and was skating less. I was particularly looking forward to reconnecting with the brand and hearing the story of the brand, however, and am so happy I did. This is not a T-Shirt is one of my favorite reads in the last few years. It’s the perfect summer read and shares a fascinating first hand account of building a brand from the ground up. Bobby & Ben are an inspiration for me and I’ll always admire their hustle, ability to foster a passionate and loyal community and use their brand as a means for creating real and lasting change. I poured through this book in less than a week and almost picked it up to read it right through again. For anyone looking for an inspiring read on business, culture and entrepreneurship, this is it. If you loved Shoe Dog, you’re sure to love this one too.
